Letterpress Futura Display is a dusty, decades-old type printed from 48 pt lead type Futura Display. I pulled a single print—black ink on off-white paper—on my flatbed proofing press.

Letterpress Akzidenz is a dusty, decades-old type found in a type drawer labelled “48 pt ultra condensed.” I pulled a single print—black ink on off-white paper—on my flatbed proofing press. This test print was scanned at 1200 dpi (Display) and then again at 300 dpi (Regular) to make a display face with tons of character as well as a simpler face for use at smaller sizes.

Letterpress Kabel is a dusty, decades-old type found in a type drawer labelled “72 pt Kabel Medium.” I pulled a nicely inked print—black ink on off-white paper—on my flatbed proofing press. I then pulled another print without re-inking the type. This becomes the “destroyed” version.
This test prints were scanned at 1200 dpi to make a display face with tons of character that is usable at any size.
